Message of the Organizing Committee
The theme of Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark has attracted the attention of scholars, researchers, and travelers throughout history and has inspired numerous disciplines, particularly history, archaeology, cultural heritage, religious studies, geography, and the natural sciences. In this context, the 8th International Symposium on Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark, which aims to evaluate scholarly research conducted on Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark from an interdisciplinary perspective, will be held on 15–16 October 2026, hosted by Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University.
The symposium will address Mount Ararat and its surrounding region from the perspectives of various disciplines, including history, archaeology, art history, geography, geology, tourism, economics, ethnography, language and literature, sociology, political science, theology, sports sciences, the natural environment, immovable cultural heritage, gastronomy, and intangible cultural heritage.
We would be pleased to welcome your original scholarly contributions related to the theme of Mount Ararat and Noah’s Ark to our symposium, which will bring together distinguished scholars from Türkiye and abroad. Abstracts and full papers that successfully complete the peer-review process will be considered within the symposium’s academic publication procedures and published in an e-ISBN full-text proceedings book. Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the symposium. The official languages of the symposium will be Turkish and English.
